tinabunny‘Twas Easter-Sunday. The full-blossomed trees
Filled all the air with fragrance and with joy.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

In every grave on earth’s green sward is a tiny seed of the resurrection life of Jesus Christ, and that seed cannot perish. It will germinate when the warm south wind of Christ’s return brings back the spring-tide to this cold sin-cursed earth of ours; and then they that are in their graves, and we who shall lie down in ours, will feel in our mortal bodies the power of His resurrection, and will come forth to life immortal.
David Gregg

Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.
Pope John Paul II

And he departed from our sight that we might return to our heart, and there find Him. For He departed, and behold, He is here.
St. Augustine

Spring is a time of renewal and rebirth. The earth comes to life and dormant seeds begin to sprout, warmly under a love of the sun.

Sap flows in the trees who survived the Winter and buds begin to appear. Blossoms follow. For those in the North and Mid-Atlantic region, our windows begin to open and the cool breezes refresh the stale air of Winter.

One Saturday morning, with the sunlight beaming in, you will get the urge to start your renewal. That bookshelf that is overloaded needs purging.  Winter clothes need to be stored. Maybe a Spring sale will catch your eye and you really need something fresh to wear.

From inside the home moving to the garden, the lawn needs some attention. The flowerbeds need the soil overturned. The daffodils and the tulips begin their ascent. Everything is green and refreshing the soul. You can even toss off the shoes and feel the grass beneath your feet.

So it is. The awakening continues. Your body also needs to purge overloaded stores of Winter fat. It’s bikini time ladies. Men, time to tone those muscles. Springtime is a great time to think about renewal for the body.

Prepare fresh juices not only from fruits but also vegetables. Add some natural unrefined sea salt to your drinks and meals. Turn your face toward the sun, with eyes closed, and bathe your skin  in radiance. Give thanks for another day, another season.

Shower gratitude on those around you.
